Amapola – “Talking Sustainability”, the integrated communication agency that specialises in consultancy services for international development and sustainability – has been chosen by SWS Engineering to develop a strategic communication plan as support for its expansion in and outside Italy.

SWS Engineering is a leading player in infrastructure design, construction and risk management. For thirty years, it has worked at the side of large construction and engineering companies on vital infrastructures for local communities.
A company in the SWS Group with offices in Trento, Rome, Turin, London, Ankara and Toronto, SWS Engineering intends to strengthen its presence on its existing markets (Southern Europe, Middle East and North America) and also move into new regions.

As support for this international growth strategy, SWS Engineering has engaged Amapola to develop an integrated communication plan.

SWS is an example of Italian excellence, staffed by specialists of outstanding calibre, and thanks to its innovative services it has great growth potential,” commented SWS Engineering business development manager Costanzo Graffi. “We chose Amapola because we wanted an agency with strong competences in the sector that would help us build greater visibility and achieve entry on to new markets.”

SWS Engineering is a very stimulating challenge,” said Amapola CEO Luca Valpreda. “Its constant pursuit of new solutions and highly dynamic approach, the best of made in Italy, form a very solid base for the profile-raising and enhancement strategy we are planning.”

After conducting a market analysis and drawing up an influencer map, Amapola has developed a multi-phase operating plan. The first phase, which began at the end of 2015, consists of the creation of new basic tools, including a new website, which has just gone online. The next phase is action to create a specific corporate communication culture, across all levels and functions: from interaction with customers and creation of effective presentations, to professional use of social media, conflict management and public speaking. This will be followed by a wide-ranging program of activities targeting external stakeholders, which will also include participation at international events and the start-up of on-going media relations activities.
