One hundred years of hard work, inspiration and success. When the Grissinificio Artigianale Giovanni Cane of Alessandria decided to restyle its website and take a fresh look at its corporate values, it assigned the task of telling its story to Amapola. The family-run firm produces grissini – breadsticks – and bread substitutes under the Forneria Pan dei Massi label, a name that refers to the millstones – known in the local dialect as “massi” – used in the old Piedmontese mills.
For the Giovanni Cane company, its links with the land and the traditions of the past are important values to be safeguarded and enhanced. All this is recounted on the new portal, www.giovannicane.it, designed and produced by Amapola.

The site menu is simple and easy to follow. Together with a profile of the company, it highlights the three core values that underpin operations at Giovanni Cane. First, its love of the local area, the Langhe-Roero and Monferrato landscape with its rolling hills, vineyards and centuries-old villages, recently designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Second, tradition and innovation: after 100 years of activity, the Forneria Pan dei Massi grissini are still made from the same secret recipe, combining a traditional method with ingredients capable of renewing the flavour. Third, high-quality ingredients: 80{f94e4705dd4b92c5eea9efac2f517841c0e94ef186bd3a34efec40b3a1787622} of suppliers are based in Piedmont and the company uses a starter and non-industrial flours that vary slightly over the course of the year with the changing seasons.
The site is completed with a section on the company’s Products, subdivided into three areas: Forneria Pan dei Massi, Linea Bio, Tradizione.
