Ecomondo, for Amapola an edition focused on environmental communication

9 Nov, 2022

Locandina evento Ecomondo su comunicazione ambientale

From 8 to 11 November, special panels and meetings at the Rimini tradefair. Journalists, informers and communicators will be talking with FERPI and Assoambiente.

Besides being Italy’s leading exhibition for the ecological transition and the new circular economy models, Ecomondo has always been an extraordinary opportunity to broaden horizons: events and panels, stands from old and new acquaintances, research and book presentations, year by year the show has also gradually established itself as a vital element for environmental communication. This is the theme of our participation at the 2022 edition, where we are taking part in two events together with business companies, organisations and industry professionals.

The first will take place on Wednesday 9 November at 3 p.m. on the stand of the CAP Group (Hall D1 – Stand 56), the Milan city utility. Entitled Environmental communication and the generational challenge: exploring new languages and tools, it will look at intergenerational dialogue and public debate and examine the critical areas, opportunities and challenges of environmental communication. The speakers will be the editors and some of the contributors to the new book L’anello mancante. La comunicazione ambientale alla prova della transizione ecologica, including Amapolers Sergio Vazzoler and Emilio Conti.

The unbearable lightness of environmental communication at Ecomondo

The second date is Friday 11 November, at 11.15 in the Diotallevi Room 1 Hall Sud, with the event organised by Ecomondo, FERPI and Assoambiente for the final day of the fair.

The unbearable lightness of environmental communication is the first Ecomondo event to examine the topic with two special panels, which will be coordinated and moderated by Sergio Vazzoler, in his role as delegate of the national steering council for environmental communication.

Effective communication of environmental themes is a strategic factor. So why has Italy’s “Country system” still not understood this?

The event takes up an idea of FERPI, the Italian public relations federation, and ECOMONDO with the collaboration of Assoambiente and the support of the CAP Group. It will examine innovative communication tools and methods for the world of tomorrow, to highlight the challenges and opportunities of environmental communication. The panels will open with an inspirational paper by philosopher and scientific communicator Telmo Pievani, and will involve communication professionals, journalists and commentators.
