Riccoboni Holding’s commitment in its first Sustainability Report produced by Amapola
The leading manager of environmental services bolsters its social and environmental responsibility journey.
Responsabilità. Una sfida circolare. This is the title chosen by Riccoboni Holding for its first Sustainability Report, on the 2021 financial year, on which Amapola was responsible for the editing and visual-graphics project. The choice underscores transparency and realism, dialogue with stakeholders and the stated commitment to today’s and tomorrow’s generations.
Established as a family firm in 1964, Riccoboni Holding is an Italian group and leading player in integrated environment management, treatment and disposal of special waste, and remediation of polluted areas. Today it is an industrial partner of leading national and international companies. It has more than 200 employees and 59 sites in and outside Italy, and consists of 4 independent companies – Riccoboni Spa, Grassano Spa, Tecnoambiente and Eco.Impresa – specialised in a variety of environmental management and circular economy fields.
The company mission
Building production, consumption and circular economy models that respect natural resources has always been Riccoboni Holding’s vocation. Besides its commitment to secure and sustainable waste management, for years it has been engaged in CSR projects, including support for local social and cultural bodies, environmental education initiatives, reforestation plans and participation in the formation of the Sustainable Development Foundation.
A tangible commitment the company has decide to map and measure in its first Sustainability Report.
The Amapola project
Reporting its sustainability performance in a voluntary report is an important step for the Group, enabling it to consolidate its ESG journey and confirm its intention of engaging with its stakeholders. The Riccoboni Holding 2021 Sustainability Report complies with the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative, the world reference body for sustainability reporting. This is not the only international reference. Inside the Report, the company’s activities are linked to the Sustainability Development Goals formulated by the UN in 2015.
A review of the past year but also a look at the future: the report takes a medium/long-term perspective, with an entire section on the Holding’s objectives. It also examines the theme of the circular economy, illustrating this increasingly important model and contextualising Riccoboni’s role in the national panorama. Circularity is the key motif of the visual-graphics project, designed on the basis of the company’s brand identity and providing charts and tables to facilitate reading and understanding of the data. A similar level of attention has been given to the tone of voice and storytelling, which is simple, exhaustive and accessible to all stakeholders.
