The Impact Report of Confindustria Dispositivi Medici
A story told in many ways, with one shared vision of sustainability.

Confindustria Dispositivi Medici has released its first Impact Report, a document that not only captures the activities of the Association and its service company, but also conveys a shared vision of sustainable development, innovation, dialogue and collective benefit. This marks an important milestone for the Association – representing a market of over 4,600 medical device companies, 130,000 employees and €19 billion – and for its service company, Confindustria Dispositivi Medici Servizi, which at the end of 2023 formally embraced its commitment by becoming a Benefit Corporation.

The added value of communication: a project by Amapola

Amapola oversaw the entire communication and design project for the Impact Report, with the goal of making the document accessible, clear and engaging for a wide range of stakeholders – from member companies to institutional partners and the general public. The project was developed in close collaboration with Confindustria Dispositivi Medici’s internal ESG and communication teams, in a continuous dialogue that brought together skills, goals and a shared vision.

Our work included the design of the full integrated Impact Report (covering both the Association and the Service company), a dedicated summary for the Benefit Corporation, a concise presentation, and the development of a video infographic. We worked to turn data and results into an authentic, visually coherent story that reflects the Federation’s identity and values, using a graphic language designed to maximize clarity and accessibility.

Between impact and participation

The Report highlights a broad and tangible commitment: 7 affiliated associations, 15 forums and 17 working groups launched in 2024, 12 sector-specific reports, and 78 companies engaged in training activities with a total of 158 participants – achieving a satisfaction score of 8 out of 10. It also showcases socially impactful initiatives, such as the national campaign “Turn Up the Volume on Life!”, run in partnership with Pubblicità Progresso, which raised awareness around the prevention of hearing loss.

From reporting to building relationships

For Confindustria Dispositivi Medici, the Impact Report has proven to be much more than a compliance exercise: it has become a tool for connection, an opportunity to share a collective identity and a concrete commitment to the wellbeing of people and the healthcare system. It’s an example of how communication – when authentic, participatory and well-designed – can help create real value.
