Once again this year, Gruppo FERA – Fabbrica Energie Rinnovabili Alternative – chooses transparency by showcasing results, impacts, and commitments towards the environment, people, and territories in its latest Sustainability Report. This marks the third consecutive year the Group has published its voluntary report, with Amapola supporting them throughout the entire project: from materiality analysis and stakeholder engagement to data collection, content creation, and graphic design.

An increasingly advanced reporting approach

The 2024 report has been updated to align with key European regulatory references. While maintaining its voluntary nature, the new report is inspired by the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) framework, referring to the new VSME standards for SMEs. The materiality analysis has been enhanced with an expanded mapping, the involvement of internal and external stakeholders, and an initial approach to financial aspects. Additionally, Gruppo FERA launched an internal ESG training session, engaging its people in a dedicated awareness and sharing moment led by the Amapola team.

Key figures and impacts for the year

In 2024, Gruppo FERA produced over 320,000 MWh of renewable energy from wind and biogas, contributing to an estimated saving of 92,000 tons of CO₂, a 27% increase compared to 2023. The Group’s core business is energy production from wind, which generated over 290,000 MWh in 2024. Biogas production exceeded 24,000 MWh. Regarding its people, the Group continued several initiatives focused on parenting, flexible working, welfare, and gender equity.

A tangible commitment to the territories

In addition to producing “clean” energy, Gruppo FERA has supported numerous community projects, including cultural and social initiatives, educational and sports programs, environmental enhancement activities, and sustainable tourism. This territorial vocation is also reflected in the growth of the RICARICA network, a network of electric charging stations promoted by the Group, which reached 120 active points across 7 regions, marking a 40% increase from the previous year.

The Amapola project

Once again this year, Amapola worked side by side with the Gruppo FERA team to translate numbers and strategies into a clear and engaging narrative. The report, for the first time built with reference to the VSME standards, was designed to be readable, accessible, and visually impactful. Infographics, data visualizations, and interactive indices guide the reader through the Gruppo FERA’s reality, made up of sustainable choices, innovation, people, and territory.
