Amapola joins the AMAG Group for Sustainability Day 2023
The third edition of the Sustainability Day event organised by the AMAG Group. The agency is one of the partners supporting the initiative.
The third Sustainability Day organised by the AMAG Group, the Alessandria-based multi-utility, will be held on Wednesday 20 September, at the Cittadella in Alessandria. Amapola is one of the supporters of the project for the local community and area. Agency partner Sergio Vazzoler will moderate the sustainability Round Table to be held in the afternoon.
The AMAG Group Sustainability Day, an awareness-raising event for the local area and young people
The 2023 edition of Sustainability Day has been organised during European Sustainable Mobility Week and targets primary and junior high-school students and their teachers. The event aims to engage the youngsters in a major initiative promoting environment friendliness, with educational and recreational workshops, entertainment and interactive training activities focusing on differentiated waste and the culture of the circular economy, re-use and recycling. For the AMAG Group, which has a concrete commitment to corporate social responsibility throughout the year, the event is an important opportunity to promote good sustainability practices. For the multi-utility, one of the purposes of education is to foster informed decisions in daily life (on diet, tourism, use of energy and water…) that take account of the repercussions of responsible choices on sustainability, and the close ties between environmental factors and social change.
A Round Table on sustainability
Closing the AMAG Group Sustainability Day, at 5 p.m. a sustainability Round Table will be open to all local residents. The meeting brings together people involved on a daily basis in dealing with the various aspects of the environmental challenge. The impact of the climate crisis requires a collective effort from the authorities and economic and social players, to play their part in testing, developing and providing innovative solutions for local communities. The Round Table is intended as an opportunity to highlight ideas and proposals that create points of contact among the various local players for a response to the most urgent questions. Without forgetting that listening and the engagement of local residents is fundamental to achieve the common goal of sustainable development.
